From the lush, volcanic slopes of Mount Kenya comes this vibrant AB-grade lot, grown by smallholder farmers who deliver their cherries to the Gakuyuini washing station. At elevations of 1600–1700 meters above sea level, the region offers prime conditions for producing sweet, complex coffees.

Cherries are carefully handpicked, sorted for quality, and pulped the same day they arrive at the station. After a traditional 12–16 hour fermentation in water, the beans are washed clean and then dried on raised beds for about two weeks, locking in their bright, juicy character.

In the cup, this lot bursts with juicy notes of black and red berries, balanced by a cola-like finish and silky body. It’s a lively, fruit-forward coffee that showcases Kenya’s washed process at its best—a testament to the hard work and expertise of the Gakuyuini community.

This is more than just a cup—it’s a taste of Kenya’s rich terroir and a celebration of craft and community.
