We are thrilled to announce the return of coffee from El Diviso Farm for the second time, reinforcing our excitement and commitment to showcasing exceptional beans.

Nestled in the Normandia district, El Diviso Farm was established in 1997 by Mr. Jose Uribe Lasso, just a 30-minute drive northwest from Brucellas in the Pitalito region of Huila, Colombia. Spanning approximately 14 hectares at an altitude of 1770 meters above sea level, the farm enjoys a singular harvest season, running from October to December each year.

By 2022, Jose had successfully encouraged his three sons to take an active role in the farm's management and production efforts. Together, the family is at the forefront of adopting cutting-edge manufacturing techniques, delving into experimental practices such as extended fermentation times, oxidation processes, anaerobic fermentation, and the innovative reapplication of mucilage juices during the cherry processing stage.

The coffee owes its name to the Geisha variety, a plant known for its fragility and specific cultivation needs, including a preferred altitude range of 1700-1950 meters above sea level. Characterized by smooth, elongated leaves and similarly shaped cherries, Geisha stands out from the Typica variety with its unique umbrella shape or flat top, compared to Typica's conical form. The ripened cherries of the Geisha variety offer a distinctive flavor profile, marked by citrus notes, inherent sweetness, and a jasmine-like floral scent that distinguishes it from other varieties.

The term "Honey" describes the coffee's processing technique, wherein the cherries are meticulously handpicked at the peak of ripeness, pulped, and then left to dry without washing off their natural, fruity mucilage. This method allows the beans to ferment within this sweet layer, resulting in a coffee that encapsulates the essence of its fruity, sticky pulp.
