Hadeso is a privately-owned washing station located in the Shakisso district of Ethiopia's Guji zone. Named after the nearby village of Hadeso, it is one of 26 stations managed by Testi Coffee, a family-owned company founded by Mr. Faysel A. Yonis. Established in 2017 at an elevation of 1,950m, Hadeso produces exceptional washed and natural processed coffee.
During harvest, around 500 independent outgrowers deliver freshly picked coffee cherries daily. These small-scale farmers, who grow coffee alongside food crops like corn and bananas, farm organically on plots averaging two to five hectares. The high elevation (1,800–2,050m) and cool temperatures of the region allow for slow ripening of the cherries, resulting in denser beans and a sweeter, more complex cup profile.
